Governance Structure

On 1^st September 2016 Shoeburyness High School (SHS) became part of a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) known as SECAT.  The Trust has its own Board of Directors/Trustees and they are ultimately accountable for the quality of education in all of the Trust’s six academies.  The Trust Board has delegated responsibility to the SHS Academy Committee for the day-to-day governance of the school, for monitoring and evaluating progress and attainment and for supporting and challenging the leadership of the School to ensure high quality teaching, good behaviour and financial probity.  The Academy Committee is accountable to the Trust Board. The Chair of the SHS Academy Committee is Ms Katie Howard and she can be contacted c/o the school.
